Digital Photography For Your Wedding Day

Digital Photography

The wedding day is probably the top moment for people to try and keep and why not. Digital wedding photography is instant and this is why some people consider the digital wedding photographer almost as important as the person performing the wedding ceremony.

The hardest thing if you are a friend or relative is trying to take photographs of the wedding day that they will be pleased with. Here are some of my tips if you find yourself at a friends or relatives wedding, taking photos with your own or theirs digital camera.

If you can only remember one piece of information from this article, remember to make sure that the photographs have a nice view background as it is one of the first things you'll notice when we look at them. Often the couple is in the thick of a crowd and at this point it may be easier to try and capture just their head and shoulders. Well, that is a bad situation whereby you must avoid at all times in your digital shoot.

Although you may don't always thinkrealize about it at the time, try to ensure those wedding guests wearing spectacles either take them off or provide you with a semi-profile shot. If there is someone in the group that you particularly want to take a photograph of but they are in a crowd then try using the zoom, it will give a good close-up that you wouldn't achieve any other way.

Natural, wedding photos always look better than staged ones but difficult to capture when you are too close so a powerful zoom lens is a great advantage. To avoid missing what will probably be great shots, don't put your camera down because with digital wedding photography you can guarantee the moment you do, something worthwhile will take place.

The last thing you want to happen is for your digital camera to have half charged batteries and a memory card that is already half full as it will restrict how many shots you can take. For any camera with 6 mega pixels or above, you will require at least one gigabyte, preferably two gigabytes of storage space on your card if you intend to use high resolution.

The reason you need to set the cameras resolution to the maximum is because the colors will be richer and if you want to enlarge the photos, it won't be a problem. Once you have the images it is only a matter of printing out the ones you want and saving all of them on a CD for a permanent storage or presentation.

Capturing beautiful digital wedding photography shots will depend on how much you enjoy taking pictures and whether or not the couple mean anything to you.
